Not likely; but it would be interesting.
We’re pretty doubtful this will happen, as Sony Pictures will probably want him back for a fourth “Spider-Man” movie, but TheOneRing.net has posted an interesting scoop that director Sam Raimi has been offered to helm The Hobbit.
I just want my Hobbit.

It’s tough to say I wouldn’t want Peter Jackson to direct this. There isn’t a director alive that could give it the same kind of justice. That said, New Line is in a pinch because their rights to the movie are almost up and they sorely need a hit after last years lackluster box office performace. Supposedly MGM, who owns US distribution rights is still fighting for Jackson, but they are ultimately in the same boat as New Line…and the Hobbit is sure to be a hit unless Joel Shoemocker decides to add sexy nipples to the Hobbit suits.

What? I find hobbit nipples extremely fascinating.
I just hope they get Ian Holm to do Bilbo, I thought he kicked ass. I mean, Bilbo wasn’t a young hobbit in the book and with hollywood makeup. Of course, I just like Ian Holm.
