What I like about short films is that you can explore just about anything. Some ideas just don’t need to be full length features but they make for great entertainment just the same. Often, these ideas take the form of fan films…among the more popular from years past being Lucas in Love and Troops; short films that took the idea of Star Wars, spun it on it’s head, and took it for a ride. Both of these films are brilliant in their own right…and just happen to be based on someone elses work…but lets face it, Star Wars is a ripe topic for satire. Any film that has become such a huge pop culture icon and has character names like Obi Wan Kenobi, Luke Skywalker and Darth Vader is bound to have a short film or two in the making.

These episodes are a great example of innovative filmaking and great fun to watch.
