I always loved the song Mad World. It’s sappy, sentimental and very very depressing…but it’s hauntingly beautiful at the same time.

this cover was of course featured (created for?) the ever wonderful film Donnie Darko. And credit for the original song to the even more wonderful Tears for Fears.

Yeah, the versions aren’t all that different. I think that the Donnie Darko version is a little more haunted than the original…but the original was such a great song!
